A
retail outlet "Sanjeevani Ayurved" has been established
at Bhopal in September 2002 to facilitate marketing of products
produced by primary cooperative societies. The average monthly sales
figure of Sanjeevani is more than Rs.1 lakh.
Such
retail outlets are being planned for other towns of the State as
well such as Chhindwara,Satna, Balaghat,Jabalpur and Indore. Through this outlet
efforts are being made to promote traditional healers of the
State as well.
Considering the growing importance of herbal based products and
to provide collectors, traders, manufactures and consumers, an
interface for networking and marketing on a long-term sustainable
basis, Federation have been organizing National Level Herbal Fair
(Van Melas) with resounding success for the last three
consecutive years with increased participation from both the manufacturers
and consumers.
In addition, the Federation has been participating in National
and International Trade Fairs to increase awareness about products
of the State.
To boost our initiative the State received the first prize
for its stall and presentation in the International Ayurved Expo,
Cochin in October 2002 and also in India International Trade
Fair (IITF), New Delhi held in November 2002.
Organisation
of Buyers-Sellers Meet have been another initiative of the federation
to provide an interface between the growers and sellers of
the medicinal plants and to facilitate direct negotiation and marketing
of thier produce. Uptill now, the said meet has resulted in
signing of many MOUs/agreements between buyers and sellers to
the tune of Rs. 1 crore.
The Federation has also provided a space on its web site www.mfpfederation.com
with facility of free registration to the buyers and sellers of
medicinal and aromatic plants and to put up their requirements
or availability of the produce.
