Swarnjayanti Gram Swarojgar Yojna (SGSY) -
An initiative towards
bamboo development
An ambitious project for bamboo
resource and bamboo craft development has been taken up
in 10 districts under SGSY scheme of Ministry of Rural
Development, GOI. Under this initiative Rehabilitation
of Degraded Bamboo Forests, Hi-tech Bamboo Plantations both
on Private and Panchayat lands along with Establishment
of State level " Design and Training cum Production
Centre" and district level " Banskar karmshalas"
has already been initiated.
The districts in which SGSY project is operational are
as follows:-
