Vanaspati Van -
     Striving to preserve nature's bounty for well being

Towards conservation and development of medicinal plants as well as for providing health cover to the people of Katni and adjoining areas, a Vanaspati Van is being developed in Katni district of the State through grant received from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of India since 2000-01. Katni falls in the Amarkantak plateau region which is richly endowed with medicinal plants , some of which are exclusively endemic to that region.

The major components of this project are:
